In 2014 I happened to have a few hours free time in St Petersburg Russia during Victory Day celebrations. I shot these with an FM2n and the 50 1.2. (HP5). Sadly lost that combo in Beijing a few years later while bar hopping. Anyway, nice people in St Petersburg and a brilliant city.

Famer's market, Chisinau, Moldova. November 2008. In Autumn, the Moldovans would stock-up on
cabbage, onion, and paprika and pickle them for consumption during the winter months.

Winters in Chisinau were hard on the body and soul, especially when the wind
blew in from the East and temperatures dropped. I remember one winter when I
did not see the sun for 5 weeks in a row.

Thank you very much Erik, i like it also a lot - i think it is a simple picture. Also I think it is the same person as in the post #288 in this thread - just a year later and in another part of the town. But i can't be sure, it was quite dark when i took #288.

After work, I used to explore the city on foot. There were thousands of feral dogs to stay away from, but this one seemed quite friendly. Chisinau, November 2006.
