Eastern Europe

This is taken very early in the morning, probably this lady was in her way to work (therefore the bag on her shoulder?). A lot of people go to churches during lunch break to confess - it is usually quite busy and I avoid going for pictures. This is taken in a small chapel next to a hospital, it is very small and quiet. The F90x is quite a loud camera but I don't recall them having been disturbed by my presence.

A warm and intimate picture which is a bit weird, of course since you are recording a most private conversation...

To me, the obscured face highlights the hiddenness of the individual, and makes the knelt form and sacred trappings of the booth more universal... nicely seen!

Fantastic Erik, so evocative. I was there when you took this. I might even be in the photo; the darkroom where I worked was off Opletalova, to the right in this photo, and I walked past daily. Amazing.
