For anyone interested, the first one is here: Street View · Google Maps

They are great Jan, tones are spot on.
I have a friend that due to his busy schedule he is not traveling abroad. On Monday evening's when he is not working, he will put a glass of whiskey and his favourite music and I will send him the coordinates of the place I took a picture of, and he will embark on a virtual walk with Google maps. I used to do the same with remote villages somewhere on this planet (from Greenland to Chile).

I do this all the time. I remember what I’ve seen too.

This one was taken in May 2018 during the period when First Holly Communion takes place. This Shrine is very close to the local church and kids where running to go to church for the mass.

Those little roadside shrines define this part of Europe to me. Gorgeous.

When my wife was young she remembers when people would gather at these shrines and the priest would visit them after the Sunday mass for the communion. They were living in a small village in the middle of nowhere and in the early 80s people had no cars, so those shrines would serve as congregation points.

Classic, I remember this one well.
I've seen people praying next to one on Sunday few weeks ago, a really beautiful backlit scene with preist, late evening sun, twisty road between fields, birch trees... As I slowed down driving all eyes were on me so I just enjoyed the view and passed by. I think it kinda came back when they closed the churches during lockdown.

Thanks Marty! It was my first roll of APX 100 and I'm hooked. Price is almost the same as Fomapan and I have more confidence in Harman products, used a ton of Ilford Pan 100/400 and it feels very familiar.

Google Street View is great for scouting locations but for "armchair travels" I'm a huge fan of japanese walking videos on YT, especially those featuring small rural towns.

Missing a picture like this would haunt me for a long time. I already have a big drawer of missed opportunities that I lug around when I go out to take pictures.

It was probably due to „nabozenstwo majowe - majowka“. Something that takes place every year in the month of may.
