The "eye patch" might be a viewfinder attachment for the 135mm lens, sort of practical isn't it? Wonder if was home made or a factory accessory?

Wonder if that would work for 85mm?

Looks like a fairly well made home-made thing to me.
If you enlarged the window I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work for 85mm lenses. The "trick" would be getting the size correct.
I would have liked to see the back of the camera/"eye-patch", though.
I think Rick Oleson has a similar thing on his website for Contax/Kiev cameras?

Nothing to wonder about, it's just a home made mask and not very practical either. You would be squinting through a keyhole. There is then the small matter of its accuracy. The longer the lens, the more problematic this becomes.
If you want to use a 135mm lens, there is a lot to be said for using an SLR. I imagine you can get a Zenit for the same price as a Zorki turret finder, and put a Jupiter-11 on that.

And the password is Parallax.
It will work to a point, but will that point be close enough for you?

Yes, I can guess that the window of view must be very small at 135mm and not give the same perspective as the lens. This problem of perspective is also given by my Helios 35-135 viewfinder.

looks like a piece of aluminum flat stock to me. nice easy little creation, but Im going to go w/ the SLR theory for longer lenses.
