I couldn't believe the post - most of it is just rubbish and this looked just the same: a communication from eBay!

Nearly binned it without opening but curiosity got the better of me.

Contents a £10 voucher to be spent on eBay on anything - item, postage, packing

Only restriction was that it had to be claimed through Paypal.
I have no problems with that.

What item are you looking at where £10 would make a difference to you?

Wow, I alway bin ebay stuff, make sure you log on to paypay yourself, not through any links, but you knew that already. Happy spending!

don't be so sure it was from Ebay
if it asks you to log in !!!

maybe a new ebay phishing scam.

I have had a couple. Once you have made your purchase and go to the "payment" page on Paypal as you would normally, you enter the code number under vouchers and it gives you the credit. If yours is like that, it is not a phishing scam.

Yeah, I've got the same mailshot. Now I just need to find something I want before the end of the month (like that's gonna be hard!)

Yep I got one too and a confirmation letter through the post about it as well. Just need to use before end of month as stated above

I know I mentioned this before but it bears repeating....
How to tell if its a real email from ebay-

A genuine ebay email will NEVER ask you to just click on a link, they'll tell you to log into your account in the usual way first.

A genuine ebay email will address you with your name, NEVER "Dear ebay user", and never- "Dear Paypal member"

No problem here.
The postman delivered the eBay notification.
As Kim said you have to enter a code into the Paypal payment voucher box.
Then £10 is deducted from the total to pay and taken off your account.
It certainly works.
I got a £10.50 rangefinder for £0.50, although the £10.50 didn't include the P&P.

I did think I could buy some film, but decided I would have bought that anyway.
