I had a ball pen disaster with my sturdy $35 manpurse and decided to go for something sturdier. I looked on the 'bay and eventually found a product from China.

I just got it tonight and am pleased with what I see. The strength fo the stitching, long-term is to be seen. My comparative photos all incorporate a makina and M3+topcor 50 for size. It's safe to say that a stack (+ some) of A4 8.5/11 paper is about the same dimensions.
M3 still inside.
Downside is thinking: "F me, I can fit a w67 above the 67"
I will shortly do it over with mink oil and search for what anti-mold options are on the market.

Not sure how this could work for cameras and lenses, but hey beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

haha. I have a philosophy for camera bags derived from back / shoulder issues. If I cannot bring a backpack, I bring a bag small enough to give me options, but not enough to weigh a lot. I could easily bring a portable tripod, a body, an extra lens and film in this. That's enough for me.

Smaller, flat cameras and this bag appear to be natural matches---Widelux, XPan, OMD, etc.
Would make for a nice walkin' around bag.
Thanks.

+Plus side: It doesn't look like a camera bag.
-Minus side: Looks so nice it might have 'gold' inside.

I showed a Hexar with 35/1.2 in and there was quite a bulge.
It's all about packing with small bags. My plan would be a table tripod in the bottom. Then film. A cloth over that. Lenses (in cozies) or film to each side of the barel of a downturned leica on top. That setup usually works for my needs.
I will be sure to buy a bullwhip and fedora to complete the package.

Ball pen disaster? Leaking or what? May I suggest a Fisher Space Pen...

Yup. A ball pen disaster. That bag was slightly shorter, and thick canvas. A pen leaked blue everywhere.
Nice fedora.
BTW/ I got some 400yen mink oil on amazon and went to town on this bag. Quite supple now, if a more chocolate brown. Certainly repels water, which was the goal. The only weak point for entry of contaminants (water, dust) is the top as the flap doesn't really cover the sides generously.

Pretty well. The color in the last shot has remained consistent. There is some shedding of loose threads at the seems due to the style of construction. However, for my typical 1 camera, 2 lens, and knickknacks style it works fine. Plenty sturdy.
