I don't normally post here but I have been lurking and using the forum as a resource since I started buying and shooting with RF's. I bought a Konica Auto S2 on ebay earlier this evening for what I thought was a good price, $30.00 including shipping.

When I opened up eBay in my browser it was recomending Fotron by the Traid Corp. Now that's a strange camera, even by my standards. Weird I thought. Then I noticed that the Konica I bought was listed as a Fotron, except in the item description and all the pictures it refers to and shows a KAS2.

Needless to say I've already e-mailed the seller to clear things up and told them that if it was a listing error I would like to cancel the transaction and be refunded. Since I already paid I am really concerned that I'm going to end up with a Fotron. I guess now it's just a waiting game. If anyone cares I'll update the status when I get an answer.

Fotrons are cool! I own two. Did you check out the history of these cameras? $30 might be a little high but it's a great camera to add to your collection, even if you cannot take a photo with it.

I read up on them a little bit, they have a pretty interesting history. Still, it's not what I'm looking for right now. If I come across one in a thrift store for under $5 bucks I would probably pick it up though.

That makes no sense and in searching for completed Fotron auctions, I see no sales recently of a Fotron for $30.

Are you sure you know what you're looking at?

I am getting a refund, so I am assuming it was a listing error. I was hoping I would get the Konica and it was the title that was the listing error... The seller still has had zero communication with me and never replied to my e-mails, so I'll never know. They're someone I will avoid in the future anyway.

I'm starting to think eBay is not worth the trouble. The money I've saved on the few cameras that arrived working and didn't have issues does not equal the money I have into cameras that went into the boneyard or trash... Luckily they're all cheap, but it adds up over time.

The eBay item # is 200363154546. It was $19.99 Plus $8.00 for shipping and $1.50 for insurance.
