Now let's see. I clicked on the box other items. Nothing found. However, when I 'googled' the seller a number of items came up at various locations in Europe in different languages. What does this mean?

Clearly a master of many languages - how do you spell scam in Italian

I bet he dosen't live in Scotland

I am amazed these "scammers" just do not use "Buy it now" - they could then get more auctions in during the week

Most seem to eminate from one of the former Russian states

I've reported him to eBay as being probably fraudulent (that Google search finds him selling the same rare prototype Summicron several times on different European eBay sites).

This is a nonsense listing. Zero feedback, first sale of expensive rarity, no matter what it's an unacceptable risk.

both currently offered on ebay from legit sellers for mucho money
(although i would hesitate ordering something from singapore)

tried to tell the wife what a good investment the anton bruckner would be (after all you get 12 compact discs with it) but she remains unconvinced

He could also be a legit seller. Several people reported him to ebay and the auction is still up.

Just because he's new to ebay and/or has other ebay ID's does not make him a scammer. There are several legit sellers with multiple ID's..

However I doubt I'd chance a high dollar auction where the seller is new..I'd rather wait till he has more positive feedback..

I'm with Colyn: other than him having 0 feedback I really don't see what's so terrible about the auction. No pictures to throw up suspicion flags, and he's not from the FSU. But maybe it's just me.

But this proves nothing. I'm sure if you could go through ebay records you'd find others who became members on April 1st whether this year or past years and they aren't scammers.

This person may or may not be bad but nobody has presented any real proof.

Assuming ones guilt based on the date they joined or because he has 0 feedback is simply wrong.

I've had 2 of my auctions reported as scams because the accuser said the bidders were bidding too much..

When accusing someone of a scam the accuser should be able and willing to present actual proof of a scam before making the accusation..
