eBay: the home of truth in advertising

When you look more closely Rob I think you may be wrong.

Someone obviously got part of the way through converting an M6 into an SLR and decided to abandon it. To their credit they've already removed the rangefinder and fitted a mirror mechanism so there's not really that much left to do.

This will be on my watch list for sure!

ps ... and this constant negativity towards eBay is worrying.

The photo isn't loading, so I can't see this apparent wonder.

Still, it seems odd to advertise a camera for parts only while lauding its ability to take a picture.

There's one born every minute, and then they get ebay accounts.

The same person is also selling those usual plastic "Leica focusing rings" you find on tamron lenses. I'm sure they'll come in handy when your brass barrel eventually slips off.

Do you think he would list the parts still available on that body...not too much from what I could see and the shutter looks like it's in trouble...
I had to add it to my Watch List...

really, what happened to that infinite upgradeability?😡 don't reply to this, as I know all the technical and economic reasons. I just don't feeling like a sucker.:bang😱uch, that hurts.

An obvious victim of the M to R conversion kits that Leica offered a few years back along with the infinitely upgradable M8 and the promise of an R10.

Akiva, no claim of fault was intended by my original post. eBay is both a company and a "community." In this case, I was poking fun at the occasional silliness of some of the auctions that are posted by "members" of that community. Possibly the seller doesn't know any better, too. No, eBay, the company, is certainly not responsible for "fact checking" listings. These things make me smile and laugh.😀 Sorry if my intent was less than clear.

It is not EBay's fault. Question: Would moderators catch this if it was put up at RFF classifieds?
