ebay WARNING -- Tamron SP 70-150 f2.8 soft

Presently posted are two Tamron SP 70-150 soft focus lenses (which are great lenses, being very sharp with variable soft focus that you can dial in, but very rare). One is pretty expensive, being sold by the Lens Doctor, a professional lens repairman who has overhauled the lens and is a very honest guy.

The other lens is up for bidding at a much lower price by a steveenj. But looking at the pics, it is apparent to someone who is familiar with the lens (or by comparing it the pics of the Lens Doctor's listed lens) that the lens is missing the front element group! It would be fine to sell this lens if the missing elements were properly disclosed. However, the listing indicates that the lens has been overhauled and is in good working condition.

In the last pic, there is a feint reflection, which could be the missing front element? 🙂

I asked the seller, steveenj, about the front element. He seems to know photography, assures me it's all there, and added more photos.
