Leica LTM eBay win

Leica M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
Congrats ! Your are lucky. I always wanted one of these but prices were in the 300$ range ... So I ended up with the CV 5cm brightline finder in chrome.

I didn't read all the large print. The photos were enough. You're in for a treat. SBOOH or whatever it is called is wonderful finder.

It will come in very handy when I use my f/1.5 Nokton lens on my screw Leicas since the large lens does block part of the built-in viewfinder..

nice price, (these things along with the orange rangefinder filter are the highest priced Leitz accessory per pound ever made :D - KRAZY!)

I bought these in a last second "snipe" now I have them to fill the freezer with film till I get their developed - normally these are $10 each in the marketplace....

PS: I`m holding out for a Canon BL one and a Tewe varifocal, two really good finders for work, while someday I plan on using a 0.95 on my M6 the BL finder will come in handy :)

Hi colyn
Its an interesting bit of kit.
I bought mine well over 40 years ago. It was for my father who had taken over my Vito B and had difficulty using the camera finder and his glasses.
When Dad passed on the camera reverted back to me, and so did the finder. It now fits on my Leica 1c.
I can't remember all the details of the purchase, haven't got the original receipt either. It came in a small leather case that slotted onto the camera strap. The case I still have!. The whole was packed in the typical Leitz slider box. Alas I think the box was discarded in the dealer's shop - a real collector's item I believe.
The item is a great finder.
Have fun with it!

I almost placed a bid on these myself..

yeah, these things come in handy with shooting, I`ve always had a few loose ones around during shoots, this was the first time I`d seen such a large amount offered as well as "double" ones which are uncommon

PS: YEAH, I`m off ebay for a while I hope, I sold my Canon IIF2 to a museum last week and with that I bought some lenses and some estate sale stuff I had sitting around now for a month or so, I have two major CLA`s to do replacing two shutter curtains on two Hlaf Race Leica`s, but other than that I really don`t NEED anything else other then some examples of some Canon Black Barreled lenses and a 0.95 for my M6 someday, then I`ll be satisfied.......I hope :)

I had one of these a number of years ago but succumbed to the temptation to sell it for ......I don't know what purpose. Probably to buy something else. They are hard to fiind in any condition and this one appears to be in top condition.

Great little finder. With most camera incorporating a 50mm frame you'd think this wasn't necessary (I use mine mostly on a Leica III with its small finder), but its even nice in an M-series because of its very bright and big accurate 50mm view.:

I'll be using this with my IIIc and IIIf with 50mm f/1.5 Nokton lens. This lens is large enough to block part of the viewfinder..

I've just ordered one of these too. Wearing glasses makes it difficult to see the entire frame. I am using a IIIF with a 50 Summitar.
