Hi,my friend Eddie has a Fed2.His first roll of color came back with 4 of 24 showing film sprocket holes. The rest were good.Where could he be getting the light leak?He likes the camera, got it for free.He did not use a lens hood or a never ready case. Thanks,Robin

Can you post one of the pics showing the sprocket holes? That would help diagnose the problem.
Sorry, can't post a picture,no scanner etc.The leak was in the upper mid area.Since it's reversed, the leak would be bottom center.I tell him to use the lower half of the case from now on to see what happens. Thanks Guys....Robin

I had 3 rolls of holiday shots ruined by a lab, some years ago...sprocket holes all the way across every frame. I wasn't pleased but it happens. They replaced the film and processed for free.

4 of 24 doesn't sound like that. Could the film have not been loaded improperly and righted itself after 4 frames. Or could it be the last 4 and the film got derailed in the camera? We could do with seeing a frame or two to try and suss it though.

Just make certain the film lies fully on the sprocket before fitting the back next time, waste an extra frame or so if needed to ensure this. Also, listen when winding the last few frames to see if there's any crackling noises indicating it's derailing off the sprocket teeth.
