Hello It is me again 🙂

I am from Croatia and I can buy Efke KB100(it is croatian product) for cheap. I develop to rolls of KB100(one at 100asa and other on 400asa) with rodinal but negatives look so soft. I dont know if I need extend developing time or that "softinnes" is characheristic of KB100.

1.roll @100asa 1+50 20C 10min
2.roll @400asa 1+50 20C 24min

Any experienced user here? With some advices and samples.

Offtopic: what is the price you get on Efke in Croatia? I buy them from Germany.

Can you post some scans?

Have you looked at the times of Adox? I've read somewhere that Adox and Efke are basicly the same.

I can buy it for 20kn(2.5 euro) per 36exp roll. (or 38euro of 30.5m roll)
Here is on form KB100@400....for scan it look ok but negativ is thin and soft :/

The processing time and temperature you have used for Efke 100 is what is recommended in the Massive Development Chart. So, I suggest that perhaps you should modify the agitation you are using. I would recomend 3-4 inversions initially followed by one inversion after each minute. It will probably require some fine tuning to get just the results you want.

I don't know about Efke 100 but Efke 50 is absolutely beautiful in Rodinal. Full of tones and tack sharp. I would not use Rodinal for pushing though. There are better alternatives for that.
