Egglestons "current" film?

Since Kodachrome is gone does anyone know what film Eggleston has been using of late? I am sure he is still shooting.

Thanks. I have Googled trying to find out what he uses now but so far no luck. I saw him on a documentary and he was still at it. I was curious what he uses.

Even in his heyday, he preferred color negative film (his "look" is more based on lighting, subject matter, & the dye transfer prints than the film, anyway). I know this because when he was at a Q&A for his "Democratic Camera" show at the Corcoran here in DC a few years ago, someone asked your question. Don't know what C41 film(s) he's using as he didn't specify an emulsion.

Along w/some other famous photographers (Nan Goldin, etc.), he was recently given an X series camera by Fuji & had a shot or 2 in the traveling show that went w/the promotion. Doubt he's gone full digital, though.

I googled it and aparently in one of the documentaries he uses Portra VC so I guess today it would be just plain Portra.

I wonder what Eggleston's thoughts would be should he chance to read this and other threads on RFF which exhaustively explore and dissect every facet of his life, art and motivation ad nauseam.

Perhaps he would say ''I wish these bloody people would get off my back and do their own thing in their own way and develop their own style without plagiarizing me...''

There again, perhaps he rather likes having his ego constantly massaged by fawning acolytes.... (!)

Well it's his own fault for being so good. I live in the south and his pictures hit home.
