Wowzers! This stuff is some kind of wacky. Just got back my one and only roll of EIR Kodak Color Infrared. These were shot with my M6 TTL with a Tiffen yellow 12 filter on the VC Ultron 28/1.9. Rated at EI 200.

Check out the X-Ray specs:

Has anyone else tried this stuff? Kodak no longer makes it and the rolls go for silly amounts on ebay these days. Though I did find someone on Flickr who is selling EIR in uncut rolls for 120.

I've have one roll thats been sitting in my freezer for about two years. Sitting, waiting for me to use it. It seems so precious, I can never decide what to shoot with it.

Here's another:

I tried shooting this roll in a few different light conditions to see the effect. The crazy colours are much more muted under overcast skies. Also, I don't recommend long exposures. I tried a few cityscapes on bulb and the slides are way underexposed. Not very good reciprocity.

I have only shot the original Kodak color slides infrared fim in the past [not E6]. There, I was able to get good results with different color filters.

Warning! Unpopular Opinion Alert!

Love infrared. Butchya know what? This is were Photoshop and effects plug-ins take over... Infrared is essentially a color effect (even if you use black and white...)

Photoshop it...

Flame ON!
