Yes, I am sure kodak still make them. It's their latest (and greatest??) ha ha
Well i don't know. Just bought a few rolls to test myself.
Examples that i've seen seems to be real nice although there were mention about color cast issues.

Liking your samples =D

I really enjoyed this film as well.

I hope you do not mind me posting an additional example illustrating its color rendition from my test roll as well:

It would be pretty nifty if Kodak came out with a 400 speed version.

Here's a couple from my first roll of Ektar (which I took a little over a month ago):

I liked the results. Nice, warm colors, with neutral contrast. The color film I use most of the time is Kodak 400VC (which I believe replaced the "UC" version). VC is much more saturated, but with higher contrast, in my experience.

Every time someone posts Ektra shots I am impressed. To me it looks just what I would like in a slow color film. Fuji Reala is fine grained but I always get weird color casts, especially on overcast days. The color rendition of plain vanilla Superia I like a lot more, but that is noticably grainier.

Although Ektra is listed on the Dutch Kodak website (you have to look really hard to find the films though 😉) I cannot seem to order it from any of my usual Dutch suppliers. I can get it from Germany although its a bit on the pricey side.

marcr1230: Thank you. I am actually kind of embarrassed by that photo. I consciously tried out a specific photographer's style on that shot. Not executed particularly well either.

George S.: The 400VC is quite a nice film. I feel that it is believably saturated and had some lovely results for a negative film. The Ektar seems to fall in the middle between the subtlety of NC and boldness of VC.

I will say however, the color film that has given me the best results is Ektachrome E100VS.
