Roger will win that bet. The 2016 campaign starts when all these folks climb out of bed today -- both sides.

Sadly, painfully true.
The "50%win-50%loose" game starts all over again.

I know what you mean, but having a weakness for smart-arse answers, I rather like the idea of climbing out of the bed on both sides. It'd need to be a REALLY narrow bed, though.Roger will win that bet. The 2016 campaign starts when all these folks climb out of bed today -- both sides.
Second smart-arse thought: Maybe Chris meant that with the stupid stuff out of the way, there will only be SENSIBLE political crap for a while.
Cheers,
R.

I should move to Ohio where my vote matters.

No one has said anything inflammatory or partisan, and the head bartender did start a thread where he asked people who they thought would win, which is a lot more 'political' than my thread.
My photo is not about supporting or opposing any party or ideology. I'm commenting on the process itself, rather than the candidates. It fascinates me that President Obama and Mitt Romey EACH spent around one BILLION dollars on their campaigns to try to win an office that pays the officeholder less than half a million a year (the president is paid $400,000 a year). Again, I am not slamming either candidate; both did what they had to do to get elected, and that meant having to raise and spend an incredible sum of money. The fact that they spent two billion dollars, and felt that they had to do so to win, is evidence that they system is deeply flawed and corrupting, regardless of the party or philosophy of the politicians themselves.

Lovely stuff Chris. That's the sort of thing I was asking for in the ill-fated thread that Mr Cameraquest started yesterday. My post was 'housekept' away before the whole thread eventually bit the dust.
It would be great if other patrons added their photographic 'take' on the last US 24 hours ...and this thread blossomed.
Cheers.

I agree with you 100% and have not closed your thread. We simply are not a political forum and I just ask that members keep that in mind when they decide to contribute to this thread. Sorry, that is just the way things are.

How can you hate graffiti !?! It's one of the most interesting class of "objects" to photograph (provided it's good of course).
Chris, that's a fun image, whoever lives there has a good sense of humor.
I have absolutely no politically-oriented remarks to add beyond that.

Thanks for sharing Chris, this has to be one of the best(if not the best) images regarding politics I've ever seen.

sure, some of it is interesting. Most of it is not. From a homeowner perspective... it makes a neighborhood and business district look terrible. From a business perspective it drives business away. From a taxpayer perspective it costs lots of money (both governmental and personal) to control, abate, and correct. That's true even about "the good stuff" since locations chosen by the alleged artists is not always appropriate. That's how and why. Art and photogrpahy are important... but not that important.

One reason I love forums like this is that they chose not to be political. It gives me a place to come and read about something I love and am passionate about without having to think about politics. Thanks RFF for keeping a clean enviroment for me to come and relax in, A big Thank You !!!!!!!
