Hello, all.
I am looking for a bit of guidance regarding the reassembly of a recently acquired Electro 35 CC.
I have replaced all of the light seals, and removed the top to clean the foggy viewfinder windows. A search of past posts has given most of the information I need for reassembly (thanks, RFF!), although I do have one question regarding a spring that fell out when I removed the top. The previous posts seem to indicate that this spring is for the shutter release button. Where I am unclear is how this spring is positioned. I have attached two photos. The first photo shows how I assume the spring rests on top of the shutter release post, which seems to make sense. The second photo shows the underside of the shutter release button. The bottom surface of this button is simply flat, with no flange or similar to hold the spring in place, which seems odd. Does the top of the spring simply press against that flat surface, or am I missing something?
Thanks for any info you can provide.
