Electro 35 Pro shutter lag

Just received an Electro 35 pro. The shutter lags at times.
(ala digi P&S) shutter speed isn't the issue, though it does seem related to how quickly I depress the shutter release. it has a new battery (6v PX28L) Any ideas?

gm13, it`s possible a new battery might help, but could be from lack of use or the dreaded POD. A good CLA would more than likely fix the problem, and the camera will be good for another 30 odd years. They are well worth spending the money on as they produce stellar photographs, best of luck with it.

Is a CLA on an inexpensive old camera as expensive as one on an expensive old camera?
