Could anyone one help? There is a spot of fungus which i want to clean off! I removed the two retaining ring but the lense does not fall off the the carl zeiss lense on rolleiflex tlr. I don't have any experience and this is the first time i'll be doing it on a leica. I have only removed the front element of the of the viewing lense in the tlr to clean it! Many Thanks

Just knock one knock at a time, if you do what I did while doing a similar task to a fungi munched old summi collapseable, you can wind up having to re-coat both the front and the back of the element. The element fell out, but I was knocking repeatedly and the knock after the one that dislodged the element damaged the rear coating as I was unable to stop myself from smacking the loose element with the lens body.
It was marred by fungus anyway, but still, I could have easily cracked it.
I'm way more old and careful now.
Also, I've heard that you can use a suction cup, like the one on the end of a child's toy gun dart, but I'm scared to touch the coated elements with anything harder than moist cotton, well except for the chrome plated brass that one time..
