Heads up to a new Erwitt Exhibition - announcement.

The Ransom Center presents the exhibition Elliott Erwitt: Home Around the World from August 15, 2016, to January 1, 2017. Featuring more than 200 photographs, it is the first exhibition drawn from the extensive Elliott Erwitt Photography Collection, acquired by the Ransom Center in 2015. It is the most comprehensive examination of the internationally renowned photographer’s life and work to date.

One of my favourite photographers.

By coincidence, I recently found a used copy of "Personal Exposures" for sale. Although I'd heard of him long before, it's actually my first introduction to his work. A quick browse of the book was enough, and I purchased it... I'm enjoying it enormously.

Since the exhibition is in Texas, and I'm across the pond, I'll be giving it a miss - but, I'm sure that it'll be a great exhibition.

I visit Austin at least a couple of times a year, just for street shooting and the night life. Will certainly be seeing this show.
