elmar stuck on leica IIIc

I just bought a Leica IIIc with 50mm f3.5 elmar on evilbay and upon receipt tried to unscrew the lens from the body but it appears to be stuck tight.
Any ideas on how to unscrew the lens without causing damage to the lens/camera??

Drip some lighter fluid at the body-flange/lens-flange interface.

And when you do above rest the camera with the lens side DOWN.

Yes, don't overdo it with the naphtha, it will dissolve the shellac/glue used to hold the curtain straps onto the rollers in the shutter.

Thank you all. Was finally able to pry the lens loose without a drop of lubricant. It is now attached to my M2 via adapter which is much easier to unmount!!

Should be easier now to mount it back on the IIIc, as well.
