Hi,
I'm looking at a couple 28mm lenses and would welcome some input on their characteristics. The lenses are a Ultron 28 2.0 and Elmarit 28 2.8 v3. Both I can get for a similar price - the Ultron new and Elmarit used with cosmetic ware but excellent optics. I'll be using the lens with film on my R2.
I'm looking for a lens with as little barrel distortion as possible - the most rectilinear. I'm not interested in their out of focus look as I prefer to use larger depth of field, so a lower f-stop isn't a problem too. How do these two compare in this regard? I shoot mostly shapes, form, line, architecture.
The current lenses I have are a Canon 50 1.8, ZM Biogon 35 2.8 and Elmar-c 90 4.0. It occurred to me whilst reading some other threads that a good idea would be to find a lens that best matches what I already have, so what would go well with the Biogon? So to get some continuity?
Your help would be welcome.
