Hi all,
I just found the story of the italian photographer Ennio Iacobucci, born in 1940 in a southern region of italy moved to Rome at the age of 15 making his living as "shoeshine" (sciuscià) until he met the Reuters journalist Derek Wilson who took Ennio with him in Bruxelles first and in London then. In 1968 Ennio followed Wilson, and the famous italian journalist Oriana Fallaci, in Saigon where he took his best known photos published - in those days - by the most important newspapers in the world (the New York Times candidate him for Pulitzer Prize). In 1975 after the end of the war and his marriage with a vietnamite girl he got back in Italy where he had no luck as a photographer and severe health problems. He died in 1977.
Here a short gallery of photos he took during the conflict. (the first slide is a content alert because some of the photos are quite strong and may be hurting some sensibilities)
