I'd been asked to post an image of my ensign 1220.
We don't see these very often, so rather than post the pictures in a thread about images from folding cams, I've started this new thread and moved it here.
The Ross Ensign 1220 with the Ross Xpress lens. Four element lens which appears to be very good. I like the pop-up framed viewer on these cameras. I have not used this much, until lately preferring the 6x4.5 1620 with the same lens (now playing up on 1/300th).
I understand that the shutters can be weak on these. My 1620 shows this. The fastest speed 1/300 is no faster than the next at 1/100.
I hope that this is fixable..
Ross Ensign 1220 (I believe the last non-rf version)
Just for info, my late model 1620 of the same era

Nice. I _love_ Ensign cameras.
I have several versions of the 16-20, with their original maker's box. I also have a 8-20 Special, and with its mask I can shoot also 6x6 so I sold my 12-20 Special (the RF one). The 220 AutoRange is a pretty cool camera, with lots of small details I quite like. The Commando is fantastic, I like its design, with film plane focussing similar to that of the Mamiya Six (but I use the Mamiya more often).
