Me too. Looks rather film like. Great shots in this thread so far...looks as though the EOSM was overlooked but may have some potential yet.

Yes this grain looks nice. It does not look film-ish to me though. More like a fresnel screen (a big old TV).
The IQ in everyones images looks super. Canon has their S*** together as far as output goes.

Good shots...doesn't look like there was a problem focusing
I just returned from a quick trip to Boston, and these are the first images (aside from running around the house) with my EOS M and 22mm STM...

I just got my eos m, 22mm lens works great, but trying my leica lens adapter on it, I can't get the shutter to fire. Can't find this anywhere, what mode should it be in?
Thanks

Nik, go into the menu system and allow the camera to trip the shutter without a lens attached. Then it'll work fine.
The adapter doesn't talk to the body, so the EOS M doesn't think there is a lens attached.

I figured it out, I had to go into custom functions and enable release shutter without lens being attached, will upload 2 images shortly

Thanks!
I'm enjoying the camera I bought it for 299 so it was an incredible bargain. The included 22mm lens is excellent and close focusing, and the ability to use my Nikon and Leica lenses with it is a great feature

Ok, I got my EOS M and 22mm today, early, from Amazon(nice job, boys).
Quick thoughts...fantastic build, really solid (both body and lens). The menus are just like my 5DmkII...fast to navigate. The touch screen is really cool...I like it more than I thought I would. It's as sensitive as an iPhone. New firmware is onboard out of the box. The focus is going to work just fine for me. I'm a documentary-method candid photographer, even on the street...I shoot very few grab shots...and the focus is fast enough. It's like the original X100, which I still have. Definitely usable. The colors and "look" are just like my 5DmkII...good, and smooth. It has a dSLR quality to it. It is night and day from the RAW files from my Sony RX100...the Sony files look like compact camera shots next to the Canon files.
I'm very pleasantly surprised. I *only* wish it had onboard flash...but 99% of my X100 shots were existing-light, and I don't light my 5DmkII images...it's not a deal-breaker by any stretch.
First quick portrait as I wrangled my daughters and kept them from rolling their eyes. 22mm, f2 wide-open.
