I am thinking of buying either of the above and am struggling to find detailed information on their video capabilities,
I would like to produce a silly, very unprofessional super 8 inspired video for my brother's wedding - just a bit of fun, but was wondering if either of these cameras would allow that, their specs mention 'art filters'?
anyone any idea?

I haven't tried it yet, but apparently on the E-P2 you can do video with art filters. It looks really fun--pinhole, grainy B&W, etc.

Don't get your hopes up. The art filters in movie mode is very jerky and renders it to almost useless (for me). Also, focusing can be a bit touchy and if you use AF, it hunts too much and the motor noise is really loud in the recorded movie.
