Fellow RFF
does anyone know who is stocking the Epsom V750 in the UK? According to Epsom UK it had been released May 1st. Unfortunately they were unable to advise me as to who stocked it??? Hence the posted question.

Many thanks

Warehouse Express ( www.warehouseexpress.com ) would be my choice. They gave me an estimate of the first week in May for the V700, and were honest and informative about the situation re: KM scanners being withdrawn. They are also usually cheaper, however their phone lines are only open 9-5 Monday to Friday.

Atucally re the V750 WHE were very unhelpful despite several emails asking if they didn't have this stock could they order for me or could they at least tell if they might stock it in the future
i just got

"Sorry this item is unavailable"

My dealing with WHE in the last year have not been good i had a spare film insert for the Nikon 5000 ED on back order from them for 8 months in the end -i got email saying my order had been "deleted". Hopeless.

Amazon.co.uk have got it at '1 to 2 weeks' delivery.

Thanks Jon
i placed an order with More Computers if it pans out i'll let you all know......

FWIW, I've just ordered a V700 from www.oyyy.co.uk, based solely upon their being the cheapest on the web. Paid last tuesday, including the premium for 2 day delivery. Had an email this morning saying it was just being dispatched... wonder when I'll see it?

Right now i think the availability of the V700 and the V750 are separate issues. Perhaps this will level out in the next few months but by then i'l be back in Asia so will be of no help to me. My point being that i could easily spend the £550 the V750 costs on trips to London's Photofusion and scanning my 120 negs on their Imacon 949 and my 12 x 16" lith prints on their Epsom 10000XL. Having a V750 would save me a lot of time and maybe money. It's time more than anything that i'm short of.

Sorry to hear WHE were none too good in your quest for a V750.

You might try Jessops although the saga of my purchase of a Minolta Scan Dual IV was so painful I'd be quite wary of buying anything from them that wasn't actually visible in a store and in front of me. That's the problem with a national distribution system.

Regards

Andy

ps Why do people list all their gear in their sig when posting? Is there a points system or something?

Like you Andy, i've not been too impressed with Jessops or Jacobs for that matter.
I miss companies like Zone V1 and Pelling & Cross - excellent customer service.
At least Martin Reeds's Silverprint, Alex Faulk's Mr Cad and Process Supplies are still going strong.........
perhaps we should turn this thread into respected photographic dealers?
