Hmmm. I'm skeptical. The first paragraph of the Ebay ad sounds like a lot of marketing mumbo jumbo. What's the difference between this glass and the anti-reflective picture frame glass I got custom cut to fit my scanner at a craft store for less?

Did any one try it (definitively) on a V600?

I'm a firm believer is using these glass strips with the Epson (I've been using the ones from Betterscanning for some time to tame the curl).
I'm just now scanning a batch using the ones from ebay- very sharp edges. These will need careful handling compared to the ones from Betterscanning.

a piece of rough sandpaper will fix those sharp glass edges/corners

The problem of the Epson's scanners is the lack of auto-focus or focus calibration.
If none of the 3 available height positions (thanks to the shim) get you a good focus, then you are done and a glass does not help.
In my case, I have concluded that the focus plane is BELOW the lowest of the 3 positions. Using the BetterScanning holder or a glass won't help, unfortunately.

AN glass from "hi*tech*glass" does the job well see comparison with top drum at 2000 dpi: (film grain aliasing on Epson can be a problem for portraits above 3000 dpi)

jzagaja, Thank you for the comparisons. What was the negative size being used?

I checked the eBay link in the first post, and it seems they're no longer selling the glass there. So... I was thinking Better Scanning, does their ANR glass work with the standard Epson holder or should I get the BS holder as well?
Thanks, and I agree with the previous post - excellent thread, thanks for all the insight here!!

Try source chemically etched glass locally, 2mm thick.

I never managed to avoid film bowing down on my 120 negs, even with the glass. You would have to put it between 2 glass surfaces. I wonder if anybody tried that.

I bought several from the ebay source you mentioned over the last year or two and found them very nicely made - no sharp edges at all. Did you mean the ends of the glass strips? I had better results than the betterscanning stuff but YMMV... I just spoke with the owner of the business and they are moving operations to a web site - will post when I know more.
