Epson Artisan 1430 - I can't get good color

Color-sync doesn't work. I have to manually adjust to the tune of 20 red and decrease brightness to get anywhere close to a pleasing rendition. Any ideas? I had to replace my R2400 and probably should have spent the $.

Problem solved. The printer didn't like the combination of Epson and third party ink cartridges. When I installed all Epson ones, all was well.
