I shoot with an M8 and have film scans as well. I bought an EPSON PRO 3800 from J&R Music World on sale with rebates for $899 and I am totally blown away by the prints I am getting. I chose the Epson Exhibition Fiber Glossy in !9"x22" and I can tell you it really is very similar to traditional darkroom fiber paper in many ways. I have used darkroom fiber since 1987, and this stuff blows me totally away. I use it with the IMAC 24" and the Color or B&W is spot on for tone rendition. The only problem I have is my IMAC monitor is a little brighter than the print output, but I compensate for that.
So if any of you want a decent printer at a decent price, this cannot be beat. Ink usage is not that bad either.
