Epson R-D1 and R-D1s CLA withing the European Union

Grateful if someone could share with me the contact details of a reliable workshop within the EU that can CLA my two Epsons.

When I knocked the RF of my R-D1 out of alignment, I took it to Ffordes. They suggested I send it direct to Camserve, who they use.

I did so, and they fixed it pretty fast (I got it back in about 1 week, iirc). I guess they could do a CLA too

It isn't too difficult to adjust it yourself. I've done it myself a few times.

Take the little cover off the hotshoe and you can reach/see the three adjustment screws:

Thanks everyone. I understand that the initially mentioned Epson repair centers in Europe refused to deal with the R-D1 and R-D1s many years ago. I also understand that Epson Japan will no longer deal with the R-D1. I'm reluctant to do this myself and will, therefore, first check Camserve in the UK. Again, thanks for your feedback and I'll let you know how this develops. Best, Peter

they do it on Leica, and sell Voigtlander Cameras.

So if just the rangefinder alignement, they could do this, but don't know if they do it any more?

Last time I checked, they were still doing it, and they know their stuff. However they would not put a warranty on Epson's.

I don't know about Camserve.co.uk, but as concerns CameraCity I would not bring the Epson. They're great for other cameras, but not RFs I believe.

Please let us know your success and feedback, Pete, it'll be useful for us in Blighty...

This week I emailed them and they answered "we do not service the Epson R-D1"...
