Epson R-D2 (mod. edit - hoax)

Funny. I'm not buying it.

Even on the small picture you can see the "2" in "RD-2" is photoshopped.

And try one of the links on that site... It's a hoax.

Yummy!

Yummy!

That would be great news for the RF world! Two camera's in the same Mp range at comparable prices, with a choice of either superior mechanics or a larger sensor! The future is sunny!:) :) Let's hope it is not the hoax it looks like :(:(

That's certainly a fake!
Where would they source the 1/4000th shutter and where would you hook up the Canon WFT-E1 wireless transmitter?

And why should Canon give it's cmos sensor to a competitor in the printer realm?

or why does the page say 50-1600 ISO and the PDF 50-3200, or why does the "2" look different in each picture (but equally badly photoshopped), or why is this not on the Epson site, ...

I can't believe how easily you people buy this! Wake up!

Yeah - but it's nice to dream a bit. :) Blinded by my own wishful thinking.

In order to get them to build a technically impossible camera and take such a loss that the company folds....;)

Don`t forget german army :D :D

Hm, since you mentioned it, but to impress a german general it doesn't have enough flashing lights and buttons.

No, I don't think the german armed forces would buy anything without lots of gauges, lights and buttons.

Kinda frightening that someone in Germany has spent the best part of a day or so constructing this hoax. Wonder which photo-related company they work for??

It is a consulting and coaching firm, producing, amongst other things, camera-concepts. It is a very intelligent piece of advertising.
