I just bought an Epson R3000 printer and I really like it. I use both Epson Premium Glossy and Canson Baryta paper. I have a question on the Canson paper.

I downloaded the Canson Baryta profile. I use that profile when I print. The tone of the results does not come close to the Epson.
When I print a color print I need to cool the color temperature down -9 to get a similar result to the Epson. If I don't do that it is too yellow. Perhaps that's because of the less white Canson base (no optical brighteners).
When I print a black and white print (using the Advanced Black White printing feature of the Epson) on the Canson I get the following results:
If I use the Cool setting I get a Neutral tone print.
To actually get the Canson to print a Cool tone I need to change the Cool settings from -8/-45 to about -10/-55 to get similar.

The results when I make these adjustments is excellent...I really do like the Canson printer. So I can continue doing this and won't be any worse for wear. However, I am just surprised that the profile default is so much different than the Epson and requires these adjustments.

Does anyone else use the Canson with a similar Epson printer and if so are your results similar?

Thanks!
