Epson v370

I recently bought an Epson for scanning my negs. I have been scanning my 120 images today and they are all OOF (As you can see in this blog post: http://danhillphotography.wordpress.com/2014/02/21/my-exploration-into-medium-format-and-scanning/ ) I was just wondering if I am doing something wrong? What techniques do you guys use to scan your negs?

Your primary error was attempting to use a scanner designed for scanning 35mm and not for 120.

When scanning film, this scanner is expecting the film to be raised off of the scanner glass by the film carrier. Placing it directly on the glass will yield out of focus images.

I just want to update you all, Pete has given me his epson V700 and I am incredibly happy with the quality of the scans compared to the v370. I can't thank Pete enough and hope this can be the start of a great photographical friendship!
