I think my scanner is dying. I did a bunch of scanning yesterday and this morning and everything has lines running through it. I've restarted, cleaned, reinstalled software, etc.
The metal roof pictures are the same, but I turned the second one 90 degrees in the scanner, so it looks like the LED that's causing the lines.
In the color picture, the color is really off and the lines are present.
Is this thing worth fixing? What other options are out there for scanning 120 film?

On my V600 (in JAPAN it called GT-X820), dust or something exits inside of the LED cover (housing, hood, how do I call this? See attachment image).
But I could not cleaning it, because it exists INSIDE of "Transparency Unit".
I just called EPSON to repair.

That usually merely is dirt (or bits of film or holder) in the calibration area (a blank strip preceding the actually usable scan area).

I've had similar bad experiences with 2 different high end epson photographic electronics - now I avoid them if I can.
The scanners in particular are ridiculously finicky re: dust on the test transparency area and flatbed. If one speck of dust gets in an important area you can say goodbye to consistent scans. make sure you clean the two little test squares at the top of the flatbed REALLY well, as well as the glass window on the lid.

As others have said, cleaning the top two inches of the scanner bed until it is absolutely spotless should help with the issue. If that doesn't fully solve the issue, make sure you are not covering the calibration cutout with anything (often people let film cover part of it by mistake).
