Well, I've scanned three rolls with it now, and am very impressed with the image quality. The 35mm film holders are very flimsy, but do the job. I don't seem to have any focus problems requiring me to adjust the holder height.
Most of the stuff I've scanned so far is, content-wise, only of personal interest, but here's a couple of examples, portraits of friends. Olympus 35RC at 1/30, wide open at f2.8, Tri-X at ISO 800 developed in DD-X for 10 mins at 20 degrees, scanned at 4800dpi with all Epson Scan options turned off, then downsampled and resized for the web, a touch of USM, but no other adjustments, not even level tweaks. They look sharp and detailed, with good contrast, and looking at the full-size original scans, I think I'm going to have no problems getting excellent A3 prints out of this scanner.

It gets better. I never managed to get any decent tonality out of HP5+ with my old scanner, but the roll of HP5+ @ ISO 400 I've just put through the V700 looks lovely. Again, minimal adjustment, a bit of USM and, in this case, some levels adjustment. Olympus 35 SP, my first roll through this camera, which appears to have an even better lens than the very impressive 35 RC.

I was looking around for scanners and came accross this third party add on as an assistance on curly films..
