Epson v850 scanning artefacts?

I got an impression that the Epson is throwing away data around the edges, because the images look narrower to me compared to the Plustek. I don't know if that is true, I just thought it looked that way. I suspect that for a person with high standards and expectations, it is probably better not to use a flatbed. Maybe you need a new Plustek?

That is not the standard a V800 is capable of. That is the output of a faulty unit.
