Sony Japan Repairs these and they do an excellent job .... Mine came back like new ..
The catch is you need someone in Japan to act as a go between ....

I had error code 11 and wound up sending it to Sony in Tokyo. True, I did have a go-between in Tokyo. Weber couldnt get the parts. It cost $200. Try Weber again as my problem was several years ago, maybe he now has more parts?

Mr Weber emailed me that he doesn't have the parts. :-(
I will try Japan.

I heartily recommend Dirk at Japan Exposures.
I've dealt with him a few times (though not to repair a Hexar RF) and found his service to be superb.

Japan Exposures (Dirk?) shows repair of Hex RF with 11 error to cost 16,000 yen or about $200 US.
My Hex RF has a damaged shutter (from being dropped): only speeds ≥1/30 sec are operative. I'll be contacting them for a repair estimate.
Harry
Edit: I should have added that Greg Weber was unable to repair it; again, no parts.

I filled out the repair form at Japan Exposures, and Dirk Rösler answered within 24 hrs. But he is on holiday until mid-April and won't get to it until then.
