Their blogs are awfully quiet about the whole thing. Wonder what they're up to --secretly reviewing under a Leica gag order, or maybe they're no longer favoured. Just think how many people know what exactly is up with 9/9/9 and no ones talking or posting real leaked photos or exact specs

they're sitting around a fireplace, cigar in one hand, glass of brandy in the other, laughing at us for not being in the loop.

We survived for quite a while before there was much hope of a M9... Its only two weeks; this is like dealing with five year olds on Xmas eve ;)

It's hard enough that there are unconfirmed rumours of an M9. Because with all this anticipation, there may be no M9. But I think what is going to be worse is if there is an M9, and we have to wait 5 months for it to hit the shelves.

There's just no winning.

First thing is, in my book, wait and see what the 9th will bring for real. Somehow I find this rumouring and the whole thing very annoying, but on the other hand - that's where a forum lives from, besides the reliable tech talk which we all like so much.

Both Erwin and M.R. got burned on the M8. Erwin with violating his NDC and M.R. with his knowing about the IR problem and not disclosing it in his review.

I suspect they are going to sit this one out.

While M.R. is perfectly capable of defending himself, his M8 review certainly did discuss the M8's atypical frequency response to red and green. He may may not have been explicit, but the information one needs to realize there would be IR issues is in his review. In hindsight his clues are obvious and clear.
