Esquire Magazine (April 2014) just published five of my New York City night time street photos from my Blurb book: INSOMNIA: THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS.

All photos were shot with Kodak 120 Tmax 400, vintage flashbulbs, and Rolleiflex TLR cameras -- 2.8f and Rolleiwide.

Congratulations, Dan. Wonderful PR for you in a widely read magazine with good writing, criticism, and editorial standards.

Hope it boosts your book sales, even if it drives up the prices of Rolleis among the crowd that can afford the suits and cigars and cars that Esquire & GQ help sell.

Excellent work Dan. Very exciting.

My first big break into the journalistic world was getting published full page in Esquire in 1970. Pretty major for a 21 year old kid and pretty major at any age.

Keep up the great work.

Congrats!!!

Do you know Ryan, Dan?

Everyone, thanks for the congrats. I really appreciate it. It's nice to see the photos printed. I met the director of photography at Esquire in October 2012 and showed him my Insomnia book. He remembered it, and last month contacted me because he thought the photos would be a good fit for Ryan's article (I don't know Ryan). I sent him a pdf with all the photos and they selected these five. What was really nice and thoughtful is Esquire automatically sent me 3 copies which arrived in today's mail.
