Ethics

Dennis, good one lol. The Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto saved so so many lives. Yet Margaret might have sinned. She wouldn't mind though as I think the lives saved is well worth the punishment suffered.

Everyone, I wonder what your views are on pirating softwares.

I'm against it. I used to do some when was a student simply because I couldn't afford them. I paid all sharewares (smaller companies, cheaper price) I stopped pirating completely as soon as I became professional designer. I think it this way: The software companies let me use their software without me paying. Now I work and make money with their software so I pay them back.

I own a legitimate copy of every application I run. I also bought all the music I play.

I am sure this has lead to a limited life experience.

What about the stuff you do when no one is looking but then tell people about later? Is that Ethics? :)

Dear Andy,

That was my thought too.

MAKE SURE someone is looking! If not now, then later.

The story's fine, and the deed is better. But then claming 'ethics' spoils it for me.

Cheers,

R.

Would you have posted about how lucky you were if you had have kept the lens? Would you think this would have made you a better or worse person? In that case would people's positive or negative reactions have influenced how you felt about yourself?

You clearly did what you considered the best thing to do. What else could you have done? Did you do it then post about it for a pat on the back, or did you do it because that's what you had to do? So why post about it? Why care about what anyone else thinks?
