Hello all,

I have a friend in the EU who has a M6 and is frustrated with the flaring VF. Are there any good EU sources for replacing/repairing the flare problem?

I know DAG does it, but he would prefer not to ship across the Atlantic if there are good alternatives in the EU.

thanks in advance 🙂

Maybe Leica in Solms can do it.

I rang Peter today and said I'd ring him in the new year and send my M2 in then for a service. He didn't say he was booked up beyond that.

Tell your mate to ring him, I've e-mailed Peter three times with no response.

Is there anyone with the reputation of Peter of CRR, or DAG in Germany? Other than Solms?

I now have an SL2 that needs the slow speeds adjusted (ie. a CLA)

I also have a 100/2.8 APO Macro-Elmarit-R which I'm not sure is as stunning as it's supposed to be - although it works, of course.

Sorry - these aren't RF. But I do own an M7 🙂

How much does a CLA without extras cost?

The reason I ask is because I once bought an old working Hasselblad 500C with a Planar 80. I sent it off to Hasselblad Germany for a CLA. They sent it back saying it would cost nearly 1000 $ to "fix". AND they broke it! (Couldn't remove the lense, or wind on). I complained at the shop, which started losing interest. Then I gave up and had it fixed, plus new light seals by Herr Werner in Munich for 200 $.

Same sort of thing with Nikon.
