EuroMeet 2012 - Istanbul

I started adding to the flickr group, but this will take a while...

^^ Nice!

Big thanks to Kully for organizing the event, and to Richard, Mustafa, Taylan, Emrah, Bob, and all our resident friends for their wonderful hospitality. Richard said it too, there's something humanizing in putting a face on a name. I'm sorry I missed some people I wanted to meet, I hope there will be another chance in another meet or in Istanbul again.

I've got some fifteen rolls to develop and scan. I feel already burnt.

.

Here is a shot from my first batch of developing, I don't have a flicker account and don't want to post my photos to flicker, so I'll post some from the meet here.

As has already been said, a massive thanks to the Istanbul posse for sorting us out with places to go, food to eat and things to drink.

The weekend already seems like weeks ago :-/

Unpacking my bag now, if anyone has found themselves with a spare 21/4 - let me know (or it could be hidden deep somewhere here).

I've just got back home and want to thank everyone, especially the Istanbul contingent :)

To Bob, you were right - the Matthieu Parey exhibition in the Institut Francais was well worth the visit!

Not sure how many rolls I have, but I might well go back later in the year too. Four weeks would be more appropriate than just four days.

Unfortunately I didn't find a buckshee 21/4 yet. Did it turn up yet, Kully?

It was a very nice meet an Istanbul is such a nice city. Needed some time to get accustomed to the masses of people in some areas.

Although I'm in need for a 21mm lens it's not in my bag.

I join the kudos to all local Istanbulers for the great hospitality they shared with us and Kully as well for the organization of another meet. Thank you very very much!

P.S.: Nobody could beat my negative record of just ONE finished roll (and two half way)...

Thanks to kully and our Istanbul hosts and guides for their contributions to a great gathering. I would love to see you all again at EuroMeet 2013 in Odessa, Ukraine or wherever it will take place.

Despite Kully's persistence in ignoring my communication attempts, it was a nice experience...

I did not get to see the entire lot of you, but I enjoyed the company of the few I met and the few I talked to.

Until next time.
