Hello,
I have a question for Kiev users here at the forum. Has anyone ever done business with
Kiev Camera . com ? They are mostly medium format, but they also have rangefinders.

I can not seem to locate any feed back on the company and if they sell good cameras.
They are in the USA, but the cameras are shipped from FSU. Said it only takes two weeks and you can order what ever lens that you prefer. Sounds pretty good to me.

Thanks for sharing any info on this company.

I think he quit selling on evilbay I have bought some Kiev lenses from him in the past. the upside is if the lens or camera is bad he will replace it [ I got a lens off the bay that had bad shutter leafs, he did not have the same lens available, so we mutally agreed on upgrading cost and quality. I ended up with a Hartibel 150MM for my KIEV 88] the downside is it may take several shots to get a good working camera. I have never had a problem with him.

The have (or at least used to) a site that deals mostly with the Kiev 88, a medium-format take on the Hasselblad. They claim to import them and make sure they are up to snuff, but that's ad talk, of course. I've never dealt with them, but as seems to be true with anything Russian, you better have a back-up or an agreeable dealer.

I think you may be referring to Kiev USA . I have never done business with them but when and if I want a medium format camera they are on my list.
