I got the Moskva 5 from wlewisiii. He told me it had Tri-X in it so I metered at 400 and shot the roll. When I opened it it was Fuji Reala 100 color. :bang:
I took it to the pro lab in town not expecting much at two stops under-exposed. Boy was I wrong. here is a photo straight from the scanner except for sharpening. I had always over-exposed Real by half a stop but this makes me re-think that

Wow!! Doesn't quite have the punch Reala normally has, but still very nice! Must have more latitude that I'd given it credit for.

Dang. I've always really liked that film (it's my favorite Color print), but I wasn't expecting that either. I've always shot it at box rating and been very happy. These do make me wonder about that as well.

What time of day were you shooting these? It kinda looks like late afternoon light and color.

William

Ok, that makes sense. I wasn't sure if it was the actual light or an artifact of the underexposure. Now I'm even more impressed with it's latitude...

I'm going to have to load a roll and see what happens at a number of EI's just to get an idea of what it can do.

I was thinking the same thing. Some of the shots actually came out to washed out. They looked OVER exposed

Odd. Doesn't help that I can't seem to find a tech sheet on Fuji's website for Reala. Everything else, but not that one. This has me really curious now...

Edit: of course as soon as I type that I change one search parameter... :bang: Time to print, read and sleep.

"There, but for the grace of God, go I."

Let us know what you find out.
