There is so much wrong in America. This is the stuff they worry about. The busy bodies need a day job.

I dunno. They hire these "weather-babes" for the ratings they might get from male viewers, then this happens. This is the unintended consequence of forcing girls into S.T.E.M.

Just kidding.

The same country where a presidential nominee told a highly accredited female journalist she probably wouldn't have her job if she wasn't beautiful.

This rubbish obviously goes on all around the world but America stands out at the moment for numerous reasons.

NYC used to be a town of great newspapers, but those days are long gone.
Now all that's left are The Gray Lady and two tabloids.
The latter's redeeming qualities are rapidly diminishing.
At least the Daily News isn't as bad as the Post.

My understanding is that Chan was wearing a party dress. Party dresses are worn in the evening or on week-ends. She was wearing it in the morning. Am I the only one who thinks that's what the emailers were pointing out?
or
have I missed something?

Please check the position of my tongue before replying.

What is still right about America, for the time being, is that you can turn off or change the channel. When and if America turns into one big giant "reeducation" camp run from DC, then we got a problem. We are seeing evidence of this given the braggadocio Ben Rhodes on how the WH "sold" the Iran deal by a concoction of lies (he called it a narrative). Same with the MIT professor who claimed to dupe the public about the goalls and methods of Obamacare. BTW I saw the video of this "weather woman".....I think to some degree the whole thing was a stunt.

I've gotten to be so disgusted with TV and the news, that I am going cold turkey and resorting to walking around the neighbor hood with my Hasselblad and revived Fuji NPH 400 from the freezer. :))) yahoo.

I wonder what more serious problems these e-mail senders tackle when they are bored at home watching TV all day ... nah, I don't care;)

From what I gather after following a link on that article is that the producer/co anchor who handed the sweater to her was doing it as a joke .....

“I was simply playing along with my co-anchor’s joke,” she wrote in a blog post Sunday.

It's a non event that doesn't deserve the attention it got.

If she were naked, someone would bitch and moan.
If she were wearing a beekeeper's suit, someone would bitch and moan.
If she were wearing anything in between the two above outfits, someone would bitch and moan.

Moral of the story: Some people live to bitch and moan.

I was watching the news in Amsterdam and the presenter started to strip naked. What the hell was that?!?

We really are kickin' some butt when it comes to embarrassing ourselves (politically) on the international stage. Not our proudest moment.

Not so much standing out globally as veering dangerously close to a third world or banana republic-an mindset. Pun intended.

It certainly is a case of "much ado" about ......... nothin'. Still, it is more to do with appropriateness I think, than priggishness. I would be inclined to find news anchors - male or female - wearing short shorts, a distraction, and don't care to see weather forecasters in pajamas or swimsuits either.

The NYT I used to read (that gigantic Sunday one) back in the 90's would have shamed her for not leaving enough time to at least go home and change into business clothes after partying all night.
