Regarding the female meteorologist, it seems she originally had more typical professional attire, however it 'chroma keyed out,' which prompted her to change outfits.
She later posted the following:
"For the record, I was not ordered by KTLA to put on the sweater. I was simply playing along with my co-anchor's joke, and if you've ever watched the morning show, you know we poke fun at each other all the time. And, also for the record, there is no controversy at KTLA. My bosses did not order me to put on the cardigan, it was a spontaneous moment. I truly love my job, I like my bosses and enjoy working with my coworkers. Since talking to my team, I want our viewers to know it was never our intention to offend anyone. We are friends on and off the air and if you watch our newscast, you know that."

The best camera is one that still works!
Anyway ... no need to single the US out. Some of the stuff that is happening here in Oz lately makes me hang my head in shame ... the stupidity is global!

Thank you for posting this link, sir. It is easy to be sucked under by all the negative news we see and hear every day. Stories like this one give a person hope for our buggered up world.

...When and if America turns into one big giant "reeducation" camp run from DC, then we got a problem...
hasn't that been going on since a long?
and globally, most American TV series broadcasted worldwide appear like an effort to propagate certain attitudes and live styles. Even channels that are supposed to show and celebrate nature in reality are showing 'heroic' conquering, often butchering, gold diggers as if in a race violating the earth asf.. Since FOX had taken over the biggest Asian sports channel (?!) one gets to see Baseball league and stock car racing..

I was watching the news in Amsterdam and the presenter started to strip naked. What the hell was that?!?
Hi,
It was a reaction to the Daily News article cited in the first post, perhaps.
I could have taken your question the wrong way but can still answer it but I need to know if the presenter was male or female first...

Not a lot wrong with the US, apart from a tendency to overreact

Bushy, you are always treating ladies in your photography as treats!
I was driving at work this morning and local radio host made comment which sums up my first impression.
Something like : "those in America have one of their talibanized jihadists called and complained".
But after reading information provided in the comment #21 it made more sense. The guy was getting horny and I feel for him

That is right, KOFE. Comment 21 is her statement in defense of her job. On the one side the condition sine qua non as meteorologist is to show body parts, otherwise she would not be hired in the first place. On the other side the mob only cares about sexist moral, but not crimes committed against humanity. We are silent when we see poverty, social inequality, racism, but yell when we see a female body part - we tend to see women's sexuality as our property and want to control that.

What's wrong with America is people that hate America trying to turn us into Europe, or the Middle East. America has done just fine in the 20th century at protecting both from Nazis, Communism, and now radical Islam, all the while spreading the wealth and consumer products all over the globe. Rebuilding Germany and Japan after their murderous ideas of a perfect country killed Millions.
So, in a nutshell, the problem with America is things like this Internet you are typing on, on that iPhone, have vicariously given you the freedom of speech that you don't have in your home countries, to complain and moan about everything the USA invented.

"We always love those who admire us, and we do not always love those whom we admire." ( François de La Rochefoucauld )
US is leading in many ways and serves as a role model for many. Not everybody understands that for this very reason, if it wasn't, why bother, it better be scrutinized to improve and not pampered to self content

Exactly. Critique is not equal to hate. The Ancient Greek philosophy explained the world exercising the method of reasoning.

At least one should read history books. America did not act but react, altogether America was not liberating humanity from the Nazis but from the Communists.

I guess you refer to the second world war you're wrong:
The English and the French reacted to the German invasion of Poland, they declared war on Germany. The USA did nothing, not even when they were attacked by the Germans ally Japan - it was Germany that declared war on the USA on 11 December 1941. So, indeed, the USA reacted.
So, the English and French really did act by declaring war, the USA had the war thrust on them by the attack on Pearl Harbor and the German declaration of war.
There is much more to say on this topic, but the thread is about the weather girl and her sexy dress
