Me too. I'm going to the Lakes tomorrow so wouldn't be in for the delivery. Otherwise I may have bought the used one. Maybe.
 
Shphoto.de has also got very agreeable prices - esp. on the Limited Edt. silver ZI which retails new for less than its black sibling. They also have two or three bodies from the exhibition display in Photokina for 999 Euros.

Actually, what keeps me back is the thought of the Macro Planar 50 ZF. I have outGASed myself :D

The only way to stop GAS is to also have GAS for something else (preferably more expensive). This is sometimes called AGAC (Acute Gear Acquisition Conflict) - it is known mainly for its beneficial side-effects on bank accounts and credit cards.

I have an eye on the new 25 f/2.8 ZF - I really like the CY version. I'm hoping that Robert White get them in before the end of the month.

Well, the used price in Popflash is $2350 - I have not seen anyone with a better price in the UK in the past (you should be looking somewhere in the area of $2,600, i.e. £1,250-£1,300). Depends if you also pay taxes for the import from the US of course.

Lets meet for a few pints when you come, shall we? :)

Given the rotten dollar exchange rate, I found absolutely no "good deals" in Europe anywhere for camera stuff. Buy in the USA.

Why not consider purchasing from Dr Joseph Yao in HK? A real gentleman to deal with. I bought all my Leica gear new from him, so have my friends from Singapore and Australia, and many people on the LUG.

I agree. :)

I bought my Zeiss Ikon from Dr. Yao. I pestered him with many questions before the purchase & he answered all of them patiently & immediately (within 24 hours). Throughout the purchase & afterward, he maintained excellent communication even from half way around the world. I can't say enough good things about him. I have also purchased from Popflash & was very pleased with the service, the communication & responsiveness. Tony Rose & his colleague are excellent to deal with. I would also recommend them without reservation.
