Thought I would relate a very good experience I had buying on eBay.
Saw a 35mm f/4 Tele-Elmar with OTZFO focus mt listed by RFF member colyn (although I had not made the connection at the time with me being pretty new to RFF). The listing was well described pointing out damage to the regular focus mount.
Since I was primarily interested in using with a Visoflex II/III, I was not concerned about the regular mount.
After I payed for it via Paypal, I sent colyn an email for details about the damage just for curiosities sake. He very quickly and politely responded:

This was taken on a recent business trip to Vancouver. I also might add while I was there I had the pleasure of meeting Tom Abrahamsson and friends over pie and coffee.
Colyn, hope you didn't mind me bragging on you. I'm really happy with the lens. Only thing is now I have yet another OTZFO!

"The best way I can describe the damage is it looks like a coin that has been run over a number of time in the street. It will still fit securely on the camera though. That's the way it was when I got it so I have no way of knowing how it happened."
I actually think colyn was a little harsh in his description, but it is so refreshing to receive something that is better than you are expecting.
